WalletHub researched 180 of the biggest cities in the US and the happiest city is Fremont, California for the second year in a row, and San Jose came in second. Three key determinants are emotional and physical well-being, income and employment, and community and environment. After that there are 30 other indicators which include income growth rate, and average leisure time spent every day. In fact, 4 of the top 10 are found in California, and 7 of the top 20. Most interesting for real estate would be the higher income found on the SF Peninsula, and employment. We have one of the highest number of places to go for leisure activities, such as public parks and outdoor activities. No wonder how even in these slower real estate days the San Francisco Bay Area continues to be popular for purchasing, living and investing.
